With new changes and practical demands emerging both in andoutside of China since the 18th National Congress, there was anurgent need for us to provide in-depth theoretical and practicalanswers to a series of epochal questions on the cause of theParty and the country as well as the Party's governance ofChina.With the courage to make theoretical explorations andinnovations,our Party has, from an entirely new perspectivedeepened its understanding of the laws that underlie governanceby a communist party, the development of socialism, and theevolution of human society. lt has achieved major theoreticainnovations，which are encapsulated in the Thought on Socialismwith Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The main elementsof this theory are summarized in the 10 affirmations, the 14commitments,and the 13 areas of achievement that werearticulated at the 19th National Congress and the Sixth PlenarySession of the 19th Party Central Committee, all of which wemust adhere to over the long term and continue to enrich anddevelop.
